Our Charity Department can assist existing charities with their governing documentation, the appointment or removal of trustees and specialist advice on how Charity Laws affect specific projects such as property transactions or the sale of a charity.
Our team is also able to provide offers a broad range of services to charities and trustees on complying with the wide assortment of legal duties which may include: financial management, Insurance, Employment Law or Company Legislation. Failure to comply with these duties may render a trustee personally liable.
The Department also offers formation services to new charities and their trustees and is able to use its experience to provide sound advice, information and guidance, on setting up a charity, getting it registered with the Charities Commission and how to ensure you qualify for charitable status by meeting the Public Benefit Test.
